Clinical Research Consulting
We provide scientific and statistical consulting throughout every stage of your clinical research, from study design to data analysis.
The success of clinical research begins with proper planning. As biostatists, we support you in establishing a solid scientific foundation even before data collection.
Our services include:
• Research design and methodology consulting
• Sample size and power analysis
• Planning of data collection forms
• Preparation of statistical analysis plans
• Clinical research protocol support
• Methodological evaluation before ethics committee and publication process
We help your research produce reliable, reproducible, and publishable results.
Clarify the analysis plan for your clinical study
The research question, participants, measurements and evaluation of outcomes belong in the same planning process. Consulting at the protocol stage helps connect data collection with the analysis. For ongoing studies, the scope must reflect what the existing design and measurements can support.
What to prepare
- Describe the research question, study design, target population and comparison.
- Specify primary and secondary endpoints, measurement times and follow-up plans.
- Share any protocol, supporting studies for sample size assumptions and data collection forms.
Agree on your reporting requirements
Discuss which of these outputs your study needs during the preliminary evaluation:
- Joint assessment of the question, measurements and analysis approach
- An explanation of the assumptions used for sample size planning
- Identification of analytical limitations in the study design and available data
What determines the quote?
Protocol review, sample size planning and analysis of collected data can be separate tasks. Clarify the study stage, comparison structure and expected consulting scope during the preliminary discussion.
Questions before you begin
Is the study topic enough to calculate a sample size?
Usually not. The primary outcome, comparison structure and supporting assumptions are needed. Relevant studies or pilot data can help assess those assumptions.
Can I request consulting after collecting data?
Yes. The available dataset can be assessed against the research question. Missing measurements or design limitations cannot necessarily be resolved by changing the analysis.
